  • They are in original condition (see below for specific considerations)
  • No credit notes will be issued

Any defective item will be replaced or refunded to the amount of its purchase price, provided that:

Online purchases

Ordering and paying online

RMIT Campus Store reserves the right to change or alter Prices of Goods on its Website without notice

In respect of any Order, the cost of a purchase includes:

  • the cost of goods purchased (at the time the Order is submitted); and
  • the delivery fee.

Payment received for online orders must be cleared before goods are dispatched. If your payment cannot be processed, your order will be rejected in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and you will be notified. In relation to credit cards, you should contact your card issuer in the first instance to try to resolve any problem concerning the use of your credit card, or use an alternative payment method in order to continue with your Order.

In paying or attempting to pay for the goods, you agree that you have not engaged in any fraudulent conduct or contravened any Law.

You will receive a tax Invoice by email once payment in respect of your Order has been processed. A dispatch notice will be sent with the shipped goods.

  • Only Visa and Mastercards are accepted, for which there are no additional charges
  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) including GST and are subject to confirmation at the time of order acceptance.

Returns

  • Non digital goods may be returned for a refund if they are sent back within 10 days of the online order original dispatch date.
  • Items must be in as new condition and accompanied by a copy of the original tax invoice or dispatch notification (see below for specific considerations).
  • Items must be packed carefully into a secure satchel/carton with original accessories, warranty card (where supplied) and tax invoice or the Campus Store dispatch notification. RMIT does not accept responsibility for non-delivered parcels, so a track & trace freight method is recommended for items being returned by mail.
  • Refunds will be processed to the same credit card as used for the original online order.
  • If the item is returned for any reason other than it being faulty or not as described, the customer is liable for postage.

Online order cancellations

No cancellations or changes to online orders will be accepted, and the Goods will be delivered to the stated delivery address.

Shipping and delivery

  • Goods may be collected from RMIT Campus Store or sent via Australia Post.
  • We use Australia Post e-parcel solution which includes track and trace capabilities.
  • Orders will be dispatched within 2 business days of purchase.
  • When your order is dispatched, you will be sent a confirmation email with an estimated delivery date.

Specific Returns considerations for all purchases

Textbooks, course packs and stationery:

  • Breaking the seal or damaging the packaging of an item renders it “used” and therefore non-returnable
  • If an item is defective or contains a faulty disk or CD, the item will be exchanged on return for equivalent.
  • RMIT Campus Store does not sell second-hand books or software.
  • Digital products including e-books ( including printed books that include e-books and online access) cannot be returned if opened or accessed unless deemed faulty
  • The RMIT Campus Store is not responsible for the provision or accuracy of booklists.

Art materials:

  • Breaking the seal or damaging the packaging of an item renders it “used” and therefore non-returnable.
  • Paper products and art markers are not refundable, unless returned on the day of purchase and in original condition.

Merchandise:

  • The original tags must still be attached.
  • No refund or exchange will be given for items that have been worn

Privacy & security

Customer information will not be passed on to any other person or organisation other than Australia Post for shipment tracking purposes. Account information resides on a secure server, protected by firewalls and is accessible only by approved RMIT Campus Store staff.
