British Council launches Elevate

Created by the British Council, Elevate is a programme that is designed to shape a global community of problem-solvers who will embrace practical challenges with innovative solutions to social problems.

The first stage of the programme will be the Elevate StartWell™ Challenge, which opened on 10 November 2014 and will close on Monday 5 January 2015.

The Elevate StartWell™ Challenge aims to create original concepts to improve early childhood (0-8 years) play.

Applicants can be anyone from a variety of industries including: art, performance, design, education and technology—who use their creative abilities to imagine new and exciting ways for kids to engage with play spaces: in urban or natural spaces, indoors, outdoors, conceptually or technologically.

If your idea is one of the best ten, you will be invited to attend a fully-paid residential Innovation Camp at Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media in February 2015—to further prepare, brainstorm and collaborate a final project submission to potentially win in a share of SGD$50,000 Challenge funding to finance further professional development projects.
