Asia (General) Research

Asia is the world's largest and most populous continent. It covers 8.6% of the Earth's total surface area (or 29.9% of its land area) and with approximately 4 billion people, accounts for 60% of the world's human population.

While most RMIT researchers with a focus on Asia targets specific Asian cities or countries, some researchers look broadly at the Asian region or smaller regions within Asia as their research location.

Such research ranges from a project investigating the Asian financial crisis, to a project looking at issues surrounding North Asian energy security, to another exploring the factors influencing international education in the Asia Pacific.
