RMIT excels at snow sports championships in Thredbo

Eleven competitors participated across a variety of skiing, snowboarding and cross-country events at Thredbo, one of the longest ski runs in Australia. The team enjoyed bluebird days and great snow conditions and there was also a special appearance by Rupert the Redback to help support the team.
The Redbacks achieved great victories with Jakob Kennedy winning bronze on the first night in the Rails event and the men’s cross country team (Robie Catto-Smith, Nigel Ogle and Aaron Bettio-Sandlant) also scoring bronze on the second night.
After five days of competition, the RMIT team placed 10th out of the 20 competing Universities Well done to all the team on their efforts!
Next year this event will be held at Mt Buller. Anyone interested in competing please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or keep an eye out for application forms in 2014.
