See The Real Thing short video competition

Are you creative? Do you have a concept that you can bring to life on film?

See The Real Thing is a short video competition that aims to help de-stigmatise hepatitis C, and encourages people who are concerned about the infection or require information about treatment options to see their doctor.

Hepatitis Australia is awarding a $10,000 cash prize, as well as the fame of having your video presented as a community service announcement in the fight against hepatitis C.

With fewer than 2% of Australians with the hepatitis C virus are treated each year – help is needed to create a 30-60 second community service announcement that communicates the importance of:

•Seeing the ‘real’ person; not the hepatitis C infection

•Seeing a future free from hepatitis C

•Seeing a doctor about treatment options

With only three and a half weeks of the competition left to go, you still have time to submit a short video and bump up your credentials in both the creative and filmmaking industry.

Competition closes Friday 31 May 2013.
