The ninth Indonesian Film Festival is back in Melbourne with eight eclectic films, including:

• The Jungle School (Sokola Rimba)

A true account of anthropologist Butet Manurung’s journey in bringing education to Sumatra’s indigenous children

• Comic 8

An action comedy of eight young stand-up comedians robbing a bank at the same time

• Something in the Way

A dark tale of a devoted Muslim taxi driver struggling with porn-addiction

• 99 Lights in Europe’s Sky

A novel adaptation of a couple’s journey in retracing the history of Islam in Vienna, Paris, Cordoba and Istanbul

• Street Society

An action-packed piece of illegal street-racing activities in Jakarta and Bali.
