Volunteer positions up for grabs at upcoming People and the Planet 2013 Conference
Volunteer at People and the Planet and hear from leading thinkers from around the world.
People and the Planet is a major international conference co-hosted by the UN Global Cities Programme and the Global Cities Research Institute at RMIT University. The conference aims to challenge and transform the way we think about sustainability.
Featuring a diverse range of leading thinkers from all around the world, the conference is giving you the opportunity to be a part of this global event as one of 40 valued conference volunteers.
As a volunteer, you will be required to complete a full day of service (8 am–4 pm). In exchange you will be entitled to receive a Volunteers Conference Pass, which will grant you access to the two remaining days of the conference. Conference volunteers will also be entitled to attend the Vice-Chancellor's cocktail event on the evening of 2 July at no charge! Lunch, as well as morning and afternoon tea will also be provided and you will also be given a free RMIT polo/t-shirt, nametag and lanyard.
Volunteer roles include:
• registration and reception
• meet and greet
• directional guides
• session monitors
• a myriad of other vital behind-the-scenes activities.
As a conference volunteer, you will need to be available for all three days of the conference (2-4 July) and rostering will be at the discretion of the conference organisers. You will also need to be available to attend a short 1.5 hour briefing session in late June/early July.
