RMIT Green Innovators Competition

Green Innovators 2013 finalists

Be one of the lucky three to have your design showcased at Australia’s largest Sustainable Living Festival.

Calling on designers, engineers, environmentalists, planners and any other ‘green’ student who is looking to contribute to a more sustainable world and bring their idea to life.

The competition

To enter RMIT’s Green Innovators Competition you need to submit an abstract or outline of your idea that clearly describes your green innovation (no more than 300 words). You also need to provide a selection of one to three images (e.g. photo, design, cartoon or drawing) that support the problem or context that your work tackles and the solutions that you propose.


  • Winner receives $2000 and the opportunity to showcase your innovation to the nation.
  • Two runners up will receive $450 each.


Round 1: Abstract submissions due by Friday 28 November.

Round 2: Shortlisted entries present to panel of judges on Thursday 11 December 2014.

Round 3: Finalists present their ideas at the Sustainable Living Festival, 9-14 February 2015.
