Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Professional Networking Fund
If you are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student enrolled at RMIT, this fund can provide you with financial assistance for the purposes of contributing to study and professional development activity.
Value and duration
Up to $1000 per student per semester. You are only eligible to be a recipient of this fund once per academic year.
To be eligible for this fund you must:
- be enrolled in a vocational education, undergraduate or postgraduate program at RMIT University and making satisfactory progress
- undertake an activity that is directly related to your course of study and if attending a conference, you must be presenting a paper or demonstrate significant contribution to learning
- be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage
- have completed at least one year of your program.

Terms and conditions
Students awarded the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student Professional Networking Fund will be required to submit a brief report of the event attended or participated in and the benefits to the student for the activities undertaken. This report will need to be submitted within three (3) months of the event attended. The content of the report may be published by the Ngarara Willim Centre.
You are only eligible to be a recipient of this fund once per academic year.
This funding is allocated by the Ngarara Willim Centre and is available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students for the purposes of contributing to study and professional development activity. This activity can include travel, conference attendance, professional institution meetings, seminars and workshops.
