Teaching/Work responsibilities

The position of Director (Systems, Training and Complaints) leads the Systems, Training and Complaints Branch (STC) within the Academic Registrar's Group and is responsible for the day to day management of the Registrar's Office, strategic planning, the management and coordination of major projects, the coordination and delivery of training within and external to the Academic Registrar's Group and the management and coordination of student complaints.

Research Interests

Current research interests include a doctoral dissitation on implementation on the Madrid Protocol, attached to the Antarctic treaty. It explores the translation of international policy into domestic policy and looks at the implications for the 7 claimants to the Antarctic continent. It is a Public Policy study and explores the understanding of policy when put into practice and the experience of scientists engaged in research in the Antarctic continent.

Other research interests include sociology of the environment, sociology of health and sociology of gender.
