Samaka Sophia Ndege, Exchange to University of Maryland, USA
Samaka used the time before and after her study at the University of Maryland to explore parts of North and South America.
“Do it and do it now! You challenge yourself and grow so much as a person.”
RMIT Program: Bachelor of Applied Science (Property and Valuation)
Global Program: Exchange
Destination: Maryland, USASamaka wanted to study overseas to see what it would be like to live and study on her own in another country and challenge herself in a different way. Samaka says the best part about studying and living in the United States was how easy it was to get around, as everything was so close together. She used her exchange to study hard and make the most of her new university, she was also involved on campus and loved the great gym on campus. Samaka had so many amazing experiences, such as horse back riding through South America, trekking the Inka Train in Peru and even trying Guinea pig and Lama! She recommends exchange to anyone saying, “It’s the best thing you could do. You gain independance and hear your own voice.”
