All systems go for new debt management process
From 1 January 2016 students who owe a debt to the University of $500 or more in tuition fees will have their enrolment in all current programs cancelled.
ITS have been working with the Academic Registrar’s Group and Financial Services to finalise the system development for the final debt management model and related processes. The new processes are currently in production ready for implementation in January 2016.
Awareness communications with students and staff about the new debt management processes commenced in September. In October/November roadshows for all staff are being held on all three campuses and training will be rolled out to related business units and customer service staff in RMIT Connect.
More information about the new cancellation of enrolment model and related processes is available on the SIDM Google site. The project team are currently focussed on improving the student and sponsor experience for third party contracts with implementation planned by the end of 2015.
