VSSEC-NASA Prize

The NASA Academy equips students with an understanding of managerial, financial, political and social issues faced by current and future aerospace programs

This is your opportunity to be a part of the NASA Academy.

The Victorian Space Science Education Centre (VSSEC) and NASA are offering one Australian fourth year or Honours student the opportunity to win the fifth annual VSSEC-NASA Australian Space Prize.

The winner of the prize will:

• participate in a ten-week academy program at the NASA Ames Research Center

• work directly with scientists and engineers on a NASA project

• visit the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Space X, Virgin Galactic, Kennedy Space Center and more

• create a network for future collaboration and become part of the NASA Academy Alumni.

The prize also includes flights, local transport, meals, accommodation and visa expenses.

Competition categories are Engineering, Geology and Planetary Geology, Biology and Human Physiology, Data Processing and Electronics, and Space Physics and Astrophysics. Category winners will win $1000 and a certificate.

Submissions close on 6 December 2013.
