Ms Tina Rankovic is an advisor in the College of Science, Engineering and Health supporting the PVC and Deputy PVC Research and Innovation.

Industry experience

Prior to joining RMIT University in mid-2013, Tina was the Associate Pro Vice Chancellor Knowledge Exchange at Victoria University. She joined Victoria University in 2008 as Director to establish the Office of Innovation and Commercial Development. This followed Tina’s tenure as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer for the Australian Nano Business Forum.

Tina gained her strong business management and technical background through senior management roles in listed multi-national corporations, publicly funded R&D organisations and start-up businesses in the healthcare, life sciences, engineering, biotechnology, ‘cleantech’ and tertiary education and research sectors. Her expertise includes sales, marketing and communications management; business development; contract management; strategic planning; human resource and stakeholder management; project management; research translation and technology commercialisation; risk management; R&D management and operations. Tina is passionate about seeing Australian innovation in science and technology developed into products and services for domestic and global markets.
