Student lecture: International diplomacy

A diplomacy seminar for students with Bruno Scholl, the Head of the political section of the EU delegation to Australia in Canberra.

This lecture will consist of three parts relating to EU foreign policy issues: What are they? What does the EU propose to do about them? And why are they important? Bruno will discuss both foreign policy and EU/Australia bilateral issues.

Before joining the EU Delegation in Canberra this year, Bruno Scholl (DE) was coordinator for the Political and Security Committee and assistant to the Director General for Politico-Military Affairs in the EU Council Secretariat in Brussels.

Prior to joining the European public service he worked in the German Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin, Germany. He has been guest lecturer at the London University College and at the Universities of Mannheim and Cologne. He holds a PhD in Social Science from the University of Cologne, an MA in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and an MA in Political Science from the University of Bonn. Bruno Scholl has inter alia published on the constitutionalisation of the European Union and on institutional reform in the EU and the Member States.
