Be a part of shaping the media of the future
The WiBT scholarship provides career opportunities for Australian women in broadcast technology.
The 2015 ABC Women in Broadcast Technology (WiBT) Scholarships have now opened.
Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is again offering scholarships this year for Australian women studying TAFE or equivalent level courses, including electrical engineering, computer systems, electronics technology and communications engineering.
The scholarship aims to encourage women to consider a career in the technology side of media and broadcasting. Established in 1992, over 100 women have successfully completed the WiBT scholarship program. In recent years, two women have been offered and taken up paid traineeships with the ABC to complete their TAFE studies and other women have been offered employment at the end of their courses.
Successful applicants will receive four weeks paid work in the Technology Division of the ABC, plus a $1000 educational book allowance.
Scholarships available in each State and Territory
Applications close on Friday 15 May 2015.
