Orientation to youth work and the youth sector

Are you interested in working with young people but not sure what it's all about?

Or have you had some experience in working with young people and need qualifications but not sure which course?

Alternatively you could be looking for quality professional development to keep your knowledge and skills in youth work up to date?

Then enrolling in a single course as part of the Youth Work program at RMIT may be for you.

If you are new to working with young people you can choose to study single courses from the Bachelor Social Science (Youth Work) program that will introduce you to the local youth sector and youth work practice.

These courses are also suited to people:

  • thinking about a change of career into youth work and keen to get a taste of what youth work is all about
  • interested in up-skilling to improve their approach to working with young people and consolidate their current professional practice

On successfully completing a single course you will receive an official Result Statement from RMIT University. This could be used as credit if you decide to enrol in the Bachelor Social Science (Youth Work) program.
