Further details

Show your student card tomorrow night to gain access to the exhibition at a discounted price of $13.

With a series of pop up talks held throughout the night, you will gain insights into Gaultier’s practice and inspiration, as well as view the exhibition, David Shrigley: Life and Life Drawing, where you’ll have the opportunity to create your own life drawing in the exhibition space.

The exhibition is in its last days, so don’t miss out on this first international exhibition dedicated to this ground-breaking French couturier. The National Gallery of Victoria is the only Australian venue for The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, which features more than 140 superbly crafted garments in addition to photographs, sketches, stage costumes, excerpts from runway shows, film, television, concerts and dance performances.

Get inspired, get involved and discover how the designer has evolved from the first dress created in 1971 to his latest haute couture and ready-to-wear collections, costumes worn by Kylie Minogue and Beyoncé and haute couture dresses worn by Nicole Kidman.

This exhibition is organised by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with Maison Jean Paul Gaultier.
