The desktop that goes with you
If you don’t have the latest course apps you need, there’s always the option of making use of our computer lab spaces. But wouldn’t it be better if you could access your studies and courseware from your own device, anywhere you have access to the internet?
If you’re an RMIT student or staff member – you’re in luck.
You can take advantage of our virtual desktop (myDesktop) and access free apps on demand, print from any device, and access your work files on and off campus.
Here’s what you can do:
- Access your files and free software from anywhere
- Log in and work from your laptop, mobile or tablet
- Print documents direct from your device.
Visit the myDesktop post in myCommunity.
We aim to resolve service disruptions within two hours and help requests within one business day. For non-RMIT device faults – we’ll give you our best efforts.
Can’t find the application you need for teaching?
Requests for new applications to be added to myDesktop, or upgrades to existing applications can be made by completing the GetIT special request form.
(Unfortunately not all applications are suitable for myDesktop due to system requirements or vendor licencing restrictions.)
