Awards at RMIT – some changes over 2017
RMIT currently has a wide range of awards for staff and research students. As part of the University’s Strategic Plan direction 2 – Passion with Purpose, these awards are being evaluated for impact and long-term value for RMIT.
Consequently, in 2017 some of these awards are being incorporated into the new RMIT Awards for Excellence, which will be presented at a ceremony in November.
The RMIT Awards for Excellence will include some of the awards formerly presented at the annual RMIT Teaching and Research Awards. They also incorporate the Francis Ormond and Ralph McIntosh medals, which were previously awarded during the Honorary Awards and Graduation Ceremony each May, and some new awards – the Vice-Chancellor’s Leadership Awards.
The remaining Research awards will be presented at a new Research event still to be finalised.
Further information about the awards and calls for nominations will be available soon; calls for nominations will open on 2 May 2017.
