Who is Catherine Skinner?

Catherine creates Australian shooting history at the World Cup in UAE.

Catherine Skinner is one half of the first Australian duo who created Australian shooting history after winning silver in the women’s trap at the World Cup event in the United Arab Emirates.

In an Olympic-class field, Skinner along with fellow Victorian and gold medalist Laetisha Scanlan conquered all before them, including the 40 degree heat, to re-write the record books and lead Australia’s women to their first ever one-two finish at a major international event.

Skinner might be in her final year of a Bachelor of chemical engineering degree but this won’t stop her from taking off to Russia for the World Uni Games in July this year.

The looks future bright for Skinner and it looks pretty jam-packed. Being featured in the Focus 2016 Squad, a crop of athletes who are being fast-tracked towards success in Rio, there’s no doubt Skinner will be training hard as much as we’ll be cheering hard for her from across the Pacific.
