If you’re a design student, catapult your career by entering the Hills Young Australian Design Awards.

The competition

The Awards inspires a new generation of Australian designers and thinkers through fostering a culture of design, innovation and creativity in Australia.

If you are 25 or under with a brilliant idea or design, consider submitting an entry for the chance to take a chunk of the $20,000 cash prize and become Australia’s next upcoming designer.


You can win Awards and cash prizes in the following categories:

  • Hills Young Australian Designer of the Year Award – $10,000
  • Hills Design Innovation Award – $5000
  • Hills Design Technology Award – $5000
  • Hills Design Sustainability Award – $5000


Call for entry opens Monday 15 September 2014.

Online entry closes Friday 20 March 2015.

Finalists announced April 2015.

Awards presentation 28 May 2015.
