Coles Property Scholarship

Coles Property is partnering with RMIT to offer a scholarship and paid work experience to a student who will be enrolled full time in their honours year of a Property and Valuation, Project Management or Construction Management program in 2017.

Value and duration

The scholarship is valued at $15,000 for one year and includes two days per week paid work experience at Coles Property between February and June 2017.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident
  • be enrolled full-time in your honours year in 2017 in one of the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Property and Valuation) (Honours) (BH113)
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Project Management) (Honours) (BH112)
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) (Honours) (BH114)
  • have a Grade Point Average (GPA) to date of 2.0 or higher in your current program
  • be prepared to undertake two days per week of paid work experience with Coles Property between February – June 2017.

Coles is one of Australia’s largest retailers with more than 2300 retail outlets across the country. The role of Coles Property is to acquire, lease, develop and protect these property assets. Its key activities include:

  • negotiating new and renewing existing leases
  • acquiring freehold properties and businesses
  • expanding and refurbishing existing Stores, Distribution Centres and Store Support Centres
  • managing the design, construction and opening of freehold retail developments.
  • recommending property solutions to address customer expectations
  • preparing and analysing real estate strategies.
