The Shirl

Have your art work added to Bega Valley Regional Gallery permanent collection!

Supporting young and emerging Australian artists, Bega Valley Regional Gallery invites you to enter its National Youth Portrait Prize.

The competition

The Shirl is a $10,000 acquisitive biannual portrait prize for artists between the ages 16–25 years. Taking pride in being the only Portrait prize specifically for young and emerging Australian artists, the competition is calling for entries from students who either are studying art and design or have an interest in the arts.

The winning work will be awarded $10,000 and will be acquired by the Bega Valley Regional Gallery (BVRG) for its permanent collection.
