Dr Ian Peake

Dr Ian Peake has been a research fellow in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology (now the School of Science) since 2007. Ian’s research interests are in software engineering, in particular in component-based software architecture of real time and parallel systems.

In 2012 he was appointed to Laboratory Manager of the AICAUSE Virtual Interoperation Testing Laboratory (VITELab).

He led a project with ABB Corporate Research India (INCRC) in Bangalore on software product lines and software architecture recovery.

From 2008-2011 he was an RMIT Platform Technology Research Institute Research Fellow, and assisted in establishing the AICAUSE Centre at RMIT.

From 2003-2007 Dr Peake was a research fellow at Monash University on projects in timing and extra-functional prediction of component-based control systems and PlC code reuse in digital models of automation systems, in collaboration with ABB’s German Research Centre (DECRC). Dr Peake gained his PhD in 2002 from the University of Queensland.

He is currently the Laboratory Manager of the Virtual Experiences Laboratory (VXLab).
