Notice of elections – 2017 positions on Academic Board

Elections will be held to fill vacancies within the following electorates on Academic Board:

Staff Positions

  • TWO (2) members elected by and from the Professional Staff of the University for a term of two years
  • FIVE (5) members elected by and from the Academic Staff of the University for a term of two years
  • FIVE (5) members elected by and from the Teaching Staff of the University for a term of two years

Candidates must be employed at 0.5 FTE and above.

Student Positions

  • TWO (2) members elected by and from students enrolled in undergraduate programs of the University for a term of one year
  • TWO (2) members elected by and from students enrolled in Vocational Education or associate degree programs of the University for a term of one year
  • ONE (1) member elected by and from students enrolled in postgraduate programs of the University for a term of one year

Candidates must be currently enrolled.

Nominations

The nomination period commenced on Wednesday 21 September, and concluded at 11:59pm on Wednesday 28 September 2016.

Voting and declaration

As the number of valid nominations received exceeded the number of vacancies in all categories, a ballot was conducted online from Wednesday 5 October, concluding at 11:59pm on Wednesday 12 October 2016.

On the basis of the results of the online ballot, the following candidates are duly elected to serve as members of RMIT Academic Board for terms as stated above.
