The annual RMIT Film Awards screenings showcases the talent of emerging RMIT’s student filmmakers.

Highlighting student short films across categories of animation, comedy, drama, documentary, experimental and music video, the awards give students the chance to compete for great prizes, have their work shown on the big screen and be critiqued by industry professionals.

Screenings

Screenings will take place on City and Brunswick campuses, 28 July–9 August.

City campus

  • Tuesday to Friday, 28 July–7 August. Drop in between 11am–5pm.
    Venue: First Site Gallery, Basement of 344 Swanston St. Melbourne.
  • Friday 31 July, 12.30-1.45pm.
    Venue: RMIT SAB Cinema, Building 80, Level 1, Room 2, 445 Swanston Street. Melbourne.
  • Sunday 9 August. Drop in between 11am–5pm.
    Venue: First Site Gallery, Basement of 344 Swanston St. Melbourne.

Brunswick campus

  • Thursday 30 July, 4.30-6.15pm.
    Venue: Building 516 Level 2, Room 5, 25 Dawkins St. Brunswick.

Audiences can vote in the people’s choice award for their favourite short film at the Film Awards Facebook page, when you vote you go into a draw to win prizes.
