Spend the summer in Lyon

When iconic French fashion meets modern Australian style, a cross-continental love affair is born.

You are invited to immerse yourself in French fashion by taking part in the annual Fashion Summer Session study abroad program organised by the Universite de la Mode (University of Fashion).

Held from 20 June to 9 July in Lyon France, the program is open to international students of fine art, business, marketing and communications who have a desire to work in fashion companies.

Through your participation in the program, you learn skills and knowledge of French fashion, meet fashion industry professionals, network with students from all over the world and discover French culture.

The Fashion Summer Session is organised in two main themes:

  • Fashion business
  • French Heritage and Culture

During the three weeks, you will strengthen your professional opportunities by learning about many aspects of the fashion industry. Including;

  • Discovering businesses in various fields of the fashion industry such as ready-to-wear companies, style and trend agencies, textile production.
  • Academic courses given by instructors either from the University or working in fashion companies.
  • Visiting cultural institutions such as textile and art museums in Lyon and in Paris.
