Lasith Fernando staff profile photo

Lasith Fernando is currently a Software Engineer within AICAUSE. He is an embedded software engineer with more than eight years’ experience of analysing, designing and developing a wide variety of commercial software systems. He has worked with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, scientists and industrial partners from various countries including Australia, USA, UK, Sri Lanka.

Mr Fernando’s areas of expertise include Smart Energy Management Systems in residential and commercial context, active RFID technology sensor networks and contactless secure payment terminals.

He is currently driving his career towards the automation and control systems engineering arena with a special interest in industrial automation and robotics.

Mr Fernando obtained his BSc in Computer Science from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2006 and MSc in Applied Electronics from the same university in 2010. He was awarded with the best student paper at IITC 2006 Colombo, Sri Lanka for the paper titled “An Autonomous Robot for Controlling Fire in a Structured Environment” and he is a member of IEEE.
