Organising large events can be pretty stressful. No matter how much you plan and how many contingencies you allow for, unforeseen things still happen – especially with technology.

That’s why we provide a personal audio visual (AV) support service for staff co-ordinating RMIT University events around Melbourne.

We’ll take the time to analyse your event requirements and provide advice on suitable AV solutions. Then most importantly, we’ll show you how the equipment works and how to take charge using the control panels. We can even attend your event on-site to provide the assistance you need.

It’s a reassuring service that’s designed to help your next event be your best event.


Here’s what you get:

  • a personal consultation with an AV events co-ordinator
  • event analysis and recommended AV solutions
  • on-site customer assistance, instruction and AV resources as required.

Please note – the booking of rooms and event locations, formal classroom and group training, instruction on using customer owned equipment and support for graduation events are outside the scope of this service.


Ready to get on with it?

To log a service request, complete the AV and IT event booking request form or contact the Service and Support Centre.

Consultations are available 8.30am - 4.30pm on business days. For best results, we recommend you contact us at least two weeks before your scheduled event.

We’ll respond to AV service event requests within two business days, and aim to deliver your service within five business days. For particularly large events and specialised services, we may require a lead time of ten business days.

Some costs may apply for this service. Any fees will be discussed with you in advance.
