RMIT English Language Scholarship for Latin American students

If you are a citizen of a Latin American country, this scholarship provides a 25% discount on your ELICOS program from the RMIT English Language Bursary for Latin American students and a AU$50 discount per week.

Eligibility

In order to qualify for this scholarship you must:

  • be a citizen of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay or Venezuela
  • enrol in an English for Academic Purposes program at RMIT English Worldwide commencing in 2017
  • not be the recipient of any other English Language scholarship including external scholarships (excluding the English Language Bursary)
  • have a packaged offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at RMIT University.
  • be a commencing RMIT English Worldwide student (this scholarship is not available if you are extending your program)
  • have a packaged offer to study an undergraduate or postgraduate program at RMIT University.

Value and duration

25% of the total program fee for an ELICOS program commencing in 2017 plus an additional AU$50 discount off the cost per week, provided as a reimbursement upon arrival.

Students may apply and be awarded the scholarship for more than 10 weeks.

How to apply

  1. Find a program at RMIT
  2. Submit an application to study at RMIT
  3. Submit an application for the RMIT English Language Scholarship - including a personal statement.

Open date

Applications are now open for 2017.

Closing dates

December 2017 (or until all places are filled)

Applications will be considered and scholarships offered on a rolling basis until all scholarships have been awarded.

Terms and conditions

  • The scholarship will be paid towards the tuition fees of the ELICOS program.
  • On enrolment at RMIT English Worldwide (REW) the scholarship will be transferred to your Student account.
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred to another year and must be taken up in 2017.
  • RMIT International may profile scholarship recipients.
  • Scholarship selection is based on personal statement and academic merit.
  • Successful applicants will be notified; unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.
