Apply now for $10,000 Photography Grant
From 2016 recipient Alana Holmberg's series Resist Laughter.
Calling all photography students and aspiring shutterbugs: The Pool Collective is now taking applications for The Pool Grant 2017, worth more than $10,000.
The initiative includes a year of mentorship to help you complete a project that will be showcased during the Head On Photo Festival at the end of the year.
If you’re over 18 years old and have less than 3 years professional photography experience, you’re exactly the “emerging talent” they’re looking for.
Since 2009 The Pool Grant has supported new talent in the industry, and the Collective have spent the past eight years acting as mentors to each year’s recipient.
Pool’s artists want to help cultivate the next generation of image-makers, and as an RMIT student you’re already edgier than probably a good batch of applicants.
If you’re still worried you might not measure up, The Pool Collective is looking to be inspired by applicants’ ideas as well as their technical skills, so there’s no reason not to give it your best shot.
Applications are open now and close 4 May. Apply now.
