61. Casual employee
A professional staff casual employee will be paid for a minimum of three hours for each attendance whether or not the time for which the person is hired is less than three hours except:
(a) where the casual is a student who is expected to attend the University on that day in their capacity as a student, in which case the minimum period of engagement will be one hour;
(b) where the casual has a primary occupation with the University, in which case the minimum period of engagement will be one hour;
(c) where the casual requests and the University agrees to an engagement of less than the minimum three hours.
A casual employee will be paid per hour the base rate plus 25%.
A casual employee will not be entitled to payment for any of the holidays prescribed by clause 50, unless the employee is required to work on such a day and will not be entitled to paid leave of any kind..[Next: Supporting documents]
