Show your design skills

Design a revolutionary bespoke staircase or balustrade and you could win £2000 plus a trip to the Netherlands.

The competition

EeStairs Design Competition was created to shine a light on the very best young designers in the world and celebrate the evolution of architecture, interior and product design. No longer is staircase design simply about function, it has progressed into the creation of ground-breaking designs, use of innovative materials and environments capable of encouraging users to engage with their surroundings.

With this in mind, you are invited to trace the evolution of design by creating staircases and balustrades that will help tell a story and orchestrate a wonderful journey between the spaces that they connect, or even separate. EeStairs is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible and is looking for creations that reflect this – so don't aim for good, aim for extraordinary!

The competition is divided into two categories. You may send in designs for one or both ‘Corporate Staircase’ and ‘Repeatable Balustrade Design’ categories.

Prize

The winner of the Corporate Staircase category and the winner of the Repeatable Balustrade Design category will each receive:

  • £2000
  • trip to Netherlands
  • publicity.

The remaining nominated contestants in both categories will receive a consolation prize of £100.

Dates

The deadline for submissions is Thursday 31 December 2015.
