Victor Greenhalgh Scholarship

If you are enrolled full-time in a Certificate IV, diploma or degree program in the School of Media and Communication in 2017 and can demonstrate disadvantage, this scholarship could provide financial assistance with your study costs.

Value and duration

The scholarship provides up to $3500 for one year.

Number of scholarships available



To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • be an Australia citizen
  • be enrolled full-time at RMIT in 2017 in the School of Media and Communication
  • be studying a Certificate IV, diploma or degree program
  • be able to demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage such as:
    • receiving a Government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
    • having a long term medical condition or disability which impacts your study
    • experiencing difficult family circumstances
    • have/will be relocating from interstate or rural/regional Victoria to study at RMIT
    • were born overseas, are from a non-English speaking background and recently migrated to Australia
    • are a current or former refugee
    • completed secondary school at a School Network Access Program school
  • have good academic standing
  • have paid your fees and have no outstanding debt to the University.

The Victor Greenhalgh Scholarship, first awarded in 2004, was established by Dr Bob Isherwood, an RMIT alumnus. He has an advertising career spanning more than three decades, including his time as Worldwide Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi. He has won many prestigious awards including being named Australia’s leading creative director.
