FRIAS Applications for Fellowships

The Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies

FRIAS lies geographically close to both France and Switzerland and actively takes advantage of the rich intellectual resources of this truly European region.

FRIAS, the University of Freiburg’s Institute for Advanced Studies, invites applications for fellowships for external researchers for the academic year 2017/18 as part of the Marie S. Curie FRIAS Cofund Fellowship Programme (FCFP).

Located in Germany, the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS) has just published the fourth call for applications of the international FRIAS Cofund Fellowship Programme (FCFP External Senior and Junior Fellowships) for the academic year 2017/18.

About 25 fellowships will be awarded through a highly competitive, strictly merit-based selection process (expected success rate: ~20 % of all eligible applications).

The FCFP, which is co-financed by the European Union’s Marie Sklodowska-Curie Programme is directed towards outstanding researchers from abroad on a junior as well as senior level and offers attractive opportunities for a prolonged research stay in Freiburg. It is open to all disciplines.

The duration of the fellowships in the Junior scheme is 12 months and in the Senior scheme 3 to 10 months. FRIAS is committed to supporting collaboration of its fellows with researchers from Freiburg University.

Applications close 15 September 2016.
