Updated Blackboard policy for temporary files effective Friday 1 November

Information Technology Services is updating the temporary/archive file retention policy within Blackboard on Friday 1 November, 2013.

As a result of this work, all temporary Course Export / Course Archive files located under the Packages and Utilities > Export/Archive Course menu will be automatically deleted 7 days after creation. This change only applies to staff, however they will not experience any disruption while the work takes place.

This change will reduce space requirements and improve overall performance. It will not impact existing archiving / retention policies for any existing content Course shells.
