Meet the Maker tours provide a unique opportunity to step inside the workspaces of some of Melbourne’s top professional art and design studios.

This tour will take you behind the scenes and see what lies inside the studio of visual artist Sarah crowEST. You will learn about her creative processes and the ins and outs of a career in contemporary art.

Her practice is characterised by a responsive approach to the provocation of materials and their contexts, attending to their haphazard agency. Sarah works across painting, sculpture, video, design and textiles.

Sarah’s works are held in major public collections, including the National Gallery of Victoria, the Art Gallery of South Australia, the Queensland Art Gallery, The Powerhouse Museum and the Okayama Prefectural Government in Japan. Sarah is currently undertaking a studio residency at Gertrude Contemporary.

This tour is part of the Meet the Maker studio tour series.
