Time for some real connections

Making Connections mentoring program

Doesn’t seem bad for a mentor’s role, does it?

Are you an enthusiastic, compassionate and outgoing person?

If this sounds like you, we want you to volunteer as a mentor for the 'Making Connections' Foundation Studies program.

This program aims to mentor and guide Foundation Studies students that are new to Australia and RMIT. You will work with two other mentors to advise a group of seven to nine students. As a mentor, you will also be required to keep in regular contact with and to organise social activities for the group.

You will receive a LEAD certificate signed by the Vice-Chancellor after the completion of initial training and 15 hours of volunteering. This will also appear in your academic transcript – a great way to polish your resume. In addition, the program staff will organise free major events for you to join.

The ‘Making Connections’ program will run from March to May 2014.
