Interruption to Equella due to Database Upgrade – 8 July

Information Technology Services is undertaking a fast-tracked program of works to increase data storage, extend back-up facilities and improve the speed and volume of data transfer.

ITS is replacing these old databases with the newer supported database software and new hardware.

The upgrade is scheduled between 8.00am – midday on Tuesday, 8th July

In order for this to occur, the following applications and services will be unavailable while we upgrade the database:

Equella (RMIT Learning Repository)

The new databases will enable RMIT’s applications to perform better, providing a quicker and more reliable service for staff and students.

The timing of this upgrade has been chosen to minimise impact on major University activities. During this period users will not be able to use the Equella applications. If you require access to these affected services, please do so outside of the above times.
