Contemporary dance aims to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements by combining elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. It is an expressive dance style with technical aspects.

No experience? No worries! Our teachers will show you the basics, and help you learn the moves. The class is for you to learn in an enjoyable environment so go for it.

You can join in the classes at any time throughout the semester. Book online before you go to your first class. For more information contact linkarts@rmit.edu.au.

How to book

This class is open to RMIT students (free) and non-RMIT students ($40). We also offer classes in Urban, Latin, and Break dance – when you book your Contemporary class you can book other dance style classes at the same time – just tick the checkboxes for the classes you want to attend!
