You + your business idea = Channel Nine’s new television series
Have your major milestones captured on film.
If you consider yourself an entrepreneur with an amazing business idea, here’s an opportunity to promote your business venture on television - exclusive to RMIT students.
Our College of Business Entrepreneurship lecturer, Lauren Rielly, is working with Channel Nine producers on This Time Next Year, a television show aimed at discovering and showcasing Australian entrepreneurial talent.
The idea behind This Time Next Year is to track the story of Australian entrepreneurs who have an audacious goal for 2016. The producers want to know who you are, what you are creating and how you are going about it.
Filming will start in March this year. Over the course of the year, the film crew will capture the occasions when you hit major milestones in your business. Those who have achieved their goal by March 2017 will be then invited to a final production day. Each entrepreneur will tell their story in a full one hour episode, which will be broadcast nationally by Channel Nine.
To be in with a chance, register to attend the information session with Channel Nine Producer, Chris Donohue. The information session will provide details about the TV series and answer any questions you may have. We’re also told Hollywood acting coach, Paul Parker, will also be in attendance to provide advice about what it takes to be successfully cast in a major TV production.
Should you not be able to attend the information session on Thursday 21 January at City campus, you can still register your interest by ticking the box ‘Interested but date clash’ and someone from the production crew will be in contact.
To register or for more information, go to This Time Next Year information session.
