Non-Destructive Evaluation of Laser Beam Welded and Brazed Joints

Collaborating with academic and industry researchers this project aims to examine the design and manufacture of lightweight multi-materials structures for low footprint smart products for automotive applications.

Value and duration

Scholarship is valued at up to $31,298 per annum for 3 years with a possible 6 month extension.

This scholarship is part of the ARC Training Centre in Lightweight Automotive Structures.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • have a first class honours or equivalent in physics, materials engineering, manufacturing engineering or mechanical engineering
  • provide evidence of good oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrate ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team
  • meet RMIT University’s entry requirements for the Higher Degree by Research programs.
