Visit this historic Melbourne landmark to experience life in prison like some of Australia’s most dangerous criminals housed within the gaol years ago.

Built in the mid 1800s, the Old Melbourne Gaol and City Watch House was the site for 133 hangings, including that of Ned Kelly.

You will take part in a guided tour with a 40-minute interactive Watch House Experience where you will be ‘arrested’ and locked up.

Cost is $10 and includes:

  • entry fees
  • guided tour.

These tours are open to RMIT students only. You will need to present your current RMIT student card on the tour otherwise your tour will be forfeited and no refund will be provided.
