Course Description
In this course you will attain the skills and knowledge in software required as an introduction to more special purpose textiles software. This will include ‘Adobe Illustrator’, ‘Adobe Photoshop’, ‘Adobe Acrobat’, ’ Word’ and ’ Excel’.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
In this course you will develop the following program capabilities:
1. Problem solve effectively in a fashion and textiles enterprise.
2. Apply analytical decision making techniques in a fashion and textiles environment.
3. Utilise a systems approach to design and operational performance, have the technical and relevant design skills, in both analysis and synthesis to be able to exercise technical judgment in decision making and have the ability to undertake problem identification, formulation and solution.
Upon the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
1. Execute the basic functions of :
- Computer graphics
- Word processing
- Excel spreadsheets
- File transfer and importation
2. Design electronic textile portfolios.
