Course Description
This course is designed to enhance your capabilities to perform quality research activities in the specific area of geospatial science. The course requires you to carry out original research work and completion of a thesis.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
After completing this course the successful candidate will have:
1. Knowledge and understanding of evidence-based geospatial science practice and research;
2. Knowledge and skills in specific research areas, such as GIS, remote sensing or satellite positioning;
3. Knowledge and understanding of critical literature reviewing, scientific ethics, scientific analysis and scientific writing;
4. Abilities to apply their knowledge and skills to design and conduct specific research projects;
5. Presentation skills for scientific journals, research conference/seminars/workshops;
6. An understanding of related research applications in geospatial science.
