.It is assumed that you have acquired the knowledge and capabilities developed in PHYS2127 Thermodynamics and Electromagnetism.


Course Description

This is a second year core course that aims to give you an intermediate level understanding of thermal physics and materials science including equilibrium thermodynamics and its applications, and the structure, properties and phase behaviour of materials

Learning will occur through a series of lectures, tutorial discussions, and written and on-line assignments and laboratory classes designed to illustrate the course content and develop capabilities using a variety of experiences.
