Course Description
This course investigates the role of the quality manager from three different perspectives. The first is in developing a quality system to supports the organisational need. The second is in managing change to improve organisational effectiveness. The third looks at the needs of service and public sector organisations.
The course is presented by industry practitioners with wide-ranging experience in applying the subject matter to organizations.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
After completing this course you will be understand how to implement and manage a quality system, and how to implement change in an organization.
Overview of Learning Activities
The course is offered as three self-contained modules, each consisting of lectures and/or workshops. A different lecturer delivers each module, and each module is assessed independently.
Students are expected to carry out pre-reading for each class, and to read and think widely about the various topics - not confine themselves to the material delivered in the class.
Overview of Learning Resources
A detailed study guide is provided to assist learning and provide insights into key concepts. The lecturers may also specify additional material that should be obtained.
