Course Description
This course commences with the literature review project plan.
Students are expected to commence the literature review project plan and research with guidance and direction from their allocated supervisor. The student should be prepared at the commencement of the semester with a firm idea of their interest area.
Objectives/Learning Outcomes/Capability Development
Through independent research and through the direction and guidance of the supervisor, students will complete the proposal, research the literature and make significant progress on the literature review. This is then continued in Independent Project 2 in semester 2 with the final report being completed.
Planning,data base searching, literature review and academic writing to a high level.
Overview of Learning Activities
The student will be allocated a supervisor and with whom they will have regular contact for support and advice. Students are to meet their supervisor on a one hour per fortnight (equivalent) basis.
Overview of Learning Resources
Reading and associated resources will be dependent upon the student project. Students will be required to research articles and other literature in order to complete the project.
Overview of Assessment
Completion of a project proposal and literature review.
