Course Description
In this course you will examine theoretical and practical aspects of professional practice and how these may be applied in your field of study. You will gain an understanding of the ethical, social and political issues that surround your chosen field. This course will give you the opportunity to critically examine the practical, economic and management issues associated with your field of study.

Overview of Learning Activities
Through a combination of lectures, tutorials, site/venue visits, project work and presentations you will be introduced to the professional practice of your field of study.

Learning resources will include set readings, industry professional guest speakers, field trips and site/venue visits.
Overview of Assessment
Assessment is based on the presentation and/or realisation of a small project. As a record of the process, you need to maintain a folio of ideas that will be presented for assessment at the end of the course.
